Description of the station:

CHARM of the mountain village AND RENOWNED ski area:
Montgenèvre is located in the Southern Alps, near the Italian border.
The Durance has its source there on the slopes of summit of "Les Anges" .
Its highest point is Mont Chaberton at an altitude of 3131 m.
Mont Janus , from which the apartment takes its name, dominates the Gondrans
sector with its 2,565 m altitude.
Dean of French ski resorts, Montgenèvre combines the charm of a
traditional mountain village to an exceptional international ski area:
the "Voie Lactée" (Via Lattea), 5th ski area in the world with its 410 km of slopes.


SNOW and SUN:
Montgenèvre seduces by its exceptional panoramas and by a unique quality of snow and sunshine thanks to its full southern orientation and the “return from the east” climatic phenomenon,
allowing skiing from the end of November to the end of April.
From the village at an altitude of 1,860 m to the top of the slopes at 2,700 m, the Montgenèvre ski area offers a great diversity of landscapes and difficulties on wooded and hilly terrain among pines and larches.
FAMILY STATION:
Montgenèvre is the family resort par excellence, labeled "Famille Plus Montagne"
and elected by Euronews "station for families" in 2021.

From the large beginner's area located on the snow front to
competitive sports courses for initiates or experts,

The resort offers a plethora of activities for everyone ,

The International Station of Montgenèvre offers two distinct areas, linked on skis:
Grand Montgenèvre and Monts de la Lune, which forms the link with the "Voie Lactée" (Via Lattea).

With 410 km of slopes (325 km in Italy and 85 km in France), the "Voie Lactée" is the 5th largest ski area in the world.
It spans 6 stations: Montgenèvre in France and
Claviere , Cesana Torinese , Sestriere , San Sicario and Sauze d'Oulx in Italy.
The 5 Italian "Voie Lactée" stations hosted the Turin 2006 Winter Olympics.
